THE LINK TO OUR MUSIC IS RIGHT ABOVE, JUST BELOW THE TITLE OF THE THIS AD.
Sadly, our drummer Kevin had to leave the band and a replacement needs to be found.
There are (at this time) only the 2 of us in the band: drums + guitar /vocals (I sent a split signal via an octave pedal to a bass amp for big bottom end and its been working amazingly well
While our sound does take some roots in the blues, we are also very different from these bands and influences also include bands like Nick Cave & The bad seeds, Jon Spencer, PJ Harvey etc. and surf rock music. (we are NOT a white stripe copy
We have only been going for less than a year and made great progress, played some gigs where we blew the audience mind (and promoters) away, gain some fans even sold a few T-Shirts etc. All the signs are there that we have impact, a unique sound and for good things to come.
First single “Revelator” + video to be released shortly.
I would say the “duo” thing is not a permanent state. We may grow the band with a bass player down the line, but the aim is to keep things simple, get ready again as quickly as possible to gig and to support our first single release and then develop from there.
I have included a link to some music.
The song “Revelator” is to be our first single.
The other songs were recorded at or gigs / rhearsal and can be on the rough side
However it gives you a clear idea of where that band is musically.
An important aspect is that Kevin plays with a plastic Shaker taped up his right stick on all songs. It is important you are cool with this and try to bring in as much percussion on top of normal drumming as possible. The constant shaker is very important and if you are not conformable with the idea of having a shaker taped up to your stick, then it won’t work with this band. So, anything you can do to make drumming interesting with percussion is a great bonus.
So, I hope this is of interest and any questions you may have, don’t hesitate.
